Sanpakoi Street MarketThe community market held every first Sunday of the month at Anusarn Building brings together shops, entrepreneurs, and Anusarn Building itself to add vibrancy and stimulate the economy of the Sanpakoi area. It provides a creative meeting space for vendors and the community, including the people of Chiang Mai, set against the backdrop of a unique and historically significant ancient building that has been part of Chiang Mai for a long time.
Sanpakoi Street Market : Cultural Space
The official opening ceremony of “One District, One Creative Space” at San Pa Koi 🌸 Under the concept: “Lanna Blossoms: The Grace of Our Hometown Heritage” Sunday, February 1, 2026 At the Anusarn Building, San Pa Koi, Chiang Mai, the creative space was officially inaugurated amidst an atmosphere filled with the charm of Lanna culture and strong community collaboration. 🙏 Our sincere appreciation to the distinguished guests and executives: Mr. Ratthaphon Naradisorn, Governor of Chiang Mai (Presiding Chair) Ms. Kornwan Summat, Chiang Mai Provincial Cultural Officer Ms. Potjana Srisilpanan, Chair of the San Pa Koi–Wat Ket Creative District Network Ms. Wiyada Naradisorn, President of the Chiang Mai Red Cross Chapter Mr. Siwa Thamikanon, Vice Governor of Chiang Mai as well as heads of government agencies, partner organizations, and all community members who honored us with their presence. 🖌️ Special thanks for the beautiful photographs submitted by young participants, which became part of an inspiring art exhibition. 💃 Performing Arts: Grateful for the graceful Thai classical dance performance by Natyarak Ram Thai Chiang Mai. 🌼 Local Wisdom: Lanna-style Dok Tok (traditional metal embossing craft) workshop by Huen Zom Por. 🎨 Art & Craft activities in the Art Alley added vibrant creativity to the event. This beautiful atmosphere would not have been possible without the venue decoration by Gumby Floristry and the collaboration of local shops from Sanpakoi Street Market. 🙏 Heartfelt thanks to all team members and contributors whose dedication and hard work have transformed San Pa Koi into a truly complete and memorable “Creative Space.”
Next Stop : Fukuoka
On the evening of August 7th, the Anusan building in Sanpakoi was filled with the rich atmosphere of Japanese culture at the “Next Stop: Fukuoka” event. Attendees were invited to explore Fukuoka—Japan’s hub of innovation and start-ups—through authentic cuisine, creative workshops, and memorable activities. The event featured hands-on experiences like origami, furoshiki wrapping, and kendama, allowing everyone to connect deeply with Japanese traditions. One of the most heartwarming highlights was the performance by students from Nawaminthrachutit Payap School, who brought the spirit of Japan to life through energetic taiko drumming and expressive dance. The evening concluded with a stunning display of simulated fireworks, leaving every guest with a beautiful and lasting memory. From Fukuoka to Sanpakoi… the distance means little compared to the feeling. Thank you for bridging two cultures so beautifully. A Warm-Hearted Songkran: Blessing Ceremony at Anusarn Building, Sanpakhoi
This year’s Songkran Festival at the Anusarn Building, Sanpakhoi, was filled with the rich essence of Lanna culture and the joy of the community. Locals and visitors alike gathered to take part in the traditional water blessing ceremony, seeking good fortune for the year ahead, all while enjoying the refreshing fun of water play in front of the building. People came together with floral offerings, fragrant water, and warm smiles — simple gestures that carried deep meaning. The sound of splashing water mingled with laughter, creating a vibrant and memorable scene that reflected the beauty of tradition and the strong bonds within the community.
The western memories of the east of Ping river
It is an exchange and sharing of "memories" related to Western history that is intertwined with the way of life of people on the eastern side of the Ping River. This reflects the spirit of Chiang Mai through an international perspective and promotes cultural exchange amidst diversity. The focus is on memories of family, lifestyle, and community, as well as architecture, the environment, and cultural identity and transformation. Target Audience: Individuals who are interested in, possess information about, or have knowledge of Western history related to Chiang Mai, particularly on the eastern side of the Ping River, during the period between 1890 and 1970.

This exhibition not only provides students with the opportunity to present their work but also serves as a platform for knowledge exchange and networking with industry professionals. In addition to the exhibits, the event features designer talks, expert panel discussions, and interactive workshops, allowing visitors to engage with the design process firsthand. The ID Thesis Exhibition marks an important milestone for emerging designers as they transition into their professional careers, while also contributing to the advancement of the design industry.

The First Sunday Market of March is a gathering of entrepreneurs from the Sanpakhoi district, aiming to bring vibrancy and stimulate the local economy. This event helps revitalize the area, generate income, and foster goodwill between business owners and the Sanpakhoi community, as well as the people of Chiang Mai. In addition to a variety of locally crafted products made by artisans from Sanpakhoi, the market features engaging activities within the project. All of this takes place against the stunning backdrop of historic buildings, which have long been an integral part of Chiang Mai’s rich heritage.
